BRIEF HISTORY:

  •  Located in Aarhus, Denmark

  • University's motto is: Solidum petit in profundis, meaning “Seek a firm footing in the depths”

  • Aarhus university has approximately 38,000 students

  • Student-faculty ratio is 5:1

• Founded on 11 September 1928 with just 78 students

• Established by King Christian X 

MASTER’S DEGREE PROGRAMMES AND COURSES IN ENGLISH:

  • The University of Aarhus offers only 3 bachelor’s programmes in English (Cognitive Science, Economics and Business Administration – this one is located in Aarhus and Herning)

  • There are 71 master’s degree programmes taught in English such as Geophysics, Soils and Global Change, Visual Anthropology etc.

  • Application costs 750 DKK (around 100€), the danish programmes are free for international students, programmes taught in English have to be paid

  • As a non-Aarhus University student you can participate in one of Summer courses (list for next summer will be available in January)
