Neuroscene ft. neuroplasticity, new me?

Updated: 4 days ago

Do you ever wonder how it seems as if your mind has infinite capacity? There are about a million different things you can remember in 30 seconds. What's cooler is that all of this fits inside that tiny little brain of yours which is constantly active.

One of the most interesting things you can think about is the way you think, unironically. In simple terms, neuroplasticity is the growth and reorganisation of your brain's neural pathways. Of course, this is through internal and external stimuli but I'm not sure if this would come off too weird; think of your brain as an organism in itself. Its growth and changes across time are quite like the changes across our body as we grow in size and psychology.

You meet different versions of yourself at different times in your life. The major life events and milestones you experience shape the way you react to them externally and internally. You might not feel the electrical impulses shifting and transmitting throughout your brain but let me assure you, it is happening.

I would not want to bore you with the intricate details of the specific parts of your brain associated with plasticity and all of that in biological terms but just to give you a little insight so you continue reading my blog, your brain and your mind might not be the same thing but they are conjoined twins, in some way.

Continue reading my blogs as I explore some of the most fascinating parts of the neurological and psychological world, one that's all in you!
