CAMPUS INFO:
The campus covers an area of about 440 acres.
Several other research institutes, Raman Research Institute, Indian Space Research
Organisation (ISRO), Wood Research Institute and Central Power Research Institute (CPRI), are close to IISc.
The campus features six canteens (cafeterias), a gymnasium and sports complex, a football ground and a cricket ground, five dining messes (halls), and one multi-cuisine restaurant.
It also includes 9 men’s and 5 women’s hostels (dormitories).
The IISc campus harbours both exotic and indigenous plant species with about 110 species of woody plants.
